About 

Aline Subi is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Jakarta. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication Design in 2011 and began her career in the creative department of an advertising agency. With years of experience as a graphic designer and art director, she later transitioned to working in the NGO sector. Outside of her professional work, she turns to illustration as a way to process her thoughts and emotions.

 

Her artistic journey evolved in 2020 during the pandemic, when drawing became her daily ritual to stay grounded. Much of her inspiration comes from everyday experiences—her tendency to overthink, the sensory overload of city life, and her love for pop culture like anime, movies, and music. Through her art, she explores inner chaos with humor, color, and a surreal touch. Since then, she’s been dreaming of turning her art into a full-time path, one piece at a time.
